I was quite thrilled when Luc Van Acker picked tonekitchen.be to do what can be a delicate endeavour: the remastering of a classic record. “The Ship” was and is exactly that; a quintessential hallmark of mid-eighties style-blending, in which echoes of the punk era rub shoulders with the sonic palette of digital synths and drum machines, emerging technological revolutions at the time. I am happy to report that the remasters have been very well received by both the artist and the press!
